The Star Wars: Battlefront beta made one thing very clear – winning Walker Assault as a Rebel was a little difficult. DICE even agreed that the game mode had to be balanced, regardless of that fact that a portion of the community liked that Walker Assault was harder for Rebels than Alliance.
"The interesting thing that happened is that it was imbalanced and then people were like, 'It should be–it's about the Walkers assaulting Hoth!'" said Star Wars Battle front designer Jamie Keen in an interview with Eurogamer. "That thematic story stuff you don't expect, but it is such an evocative franchise."
"It actually isn't supposed to be unbalanced," Keen went on to say. "It should be 50/50 in terms of success ratio; that's what we're gunning for. It's interesting, people's receptiveness that it would be unbalanced. It was fun to see people taking it that way!"
Luckily, for everyone that was upset with the balance in the mode, DICE has officially "changed how the Walkers work" bringing hope to every Rebel scum that makes their way into Walker Assault.
