The much-anticipated teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens is finally here! As promised, the new trailer — which runs 1:28 — made its debut today over on iTunes along with select theaters across the U.S.
In typical J.J. Abrams fashion, the teaser doesn't reveal too much, only giving us a glimpse at the future of the franchise. And it certainly does look promising. At the very least, it doesn't look like it'll cause me the same disappointment as the most recent prequel trilogy. Man, that Jar Jar was bad.
Everything shown looks pretty badass, but I can't help but notice that they didn't show any of the original cast. Maybe that's a good thing…
And now, the wait begins. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens isn't set to hit theaters until December 18, 2015. Every trailer until then will now just be a giant tease.
