Earlier this month, Star Wars: Episode VII officially began production to meet its December 15, 2017 release date. From what we know, Episode VIII will be "much darker" than its predecessor and will feature a 'ripped' John Boyega.
Other than that, not much is known about Star Wars: Episode VIII except that it's being written and directed by Rian Johnson with J.J. Abrams as executive producer.
Oh, except for the official working title for the film! Sure, it's not the film's official subtitle, but it's what everyone on the set is referring to it as in order to keep things under wraps. The official working title for Episode VIII is… Space Bear.
The reveal came from Star Wars veteran Carrie Fisher and her French Bulldog Gary.

The working title for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was 'Foodles,' a title that didn't give us any real hints as to what the film's title ended up being. Space Bear doesn't seem to hint at much either… unless they are talking about Ewoks.
I much prefer the alternative.
