Star Wars Episode VIII title confirmed; The Last Jedi

And there we have it! Star Wars Episode VIII will, in fact, be titled The Last Jedi. The most striking thing about this image is the fact that the Star Wars logo is red rather than the traditional yellow. This is, of course, no mistake and is heavily ominous considering red is the color of the Sith. Is The Last Jedi referring to Luke Skywalker? Or the newly discovered Rey? Or the fallen from grace Kylo Ren/Ben Solo?

There was a book with the exact same title released in 2013. However, that refers to a character known as Jax Pavan and is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. The book is also a part of the non-canon legends line, and the character of Jax Pavan has seemingly been mirrored in Star Wars Rogue's Kanan Jarrus. Therefore do not expect this film to take any cues from that story. The Last Jedi will be in theaters on December 15th, 2017, as I imagine all of you will be.
