Star Wars Han Solo Spin-Off Teases Us With a New Vehicle

Ron Howard teases the cockpit of a vehicle for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

After getting our Star Wars fix with The Last Jedi, we’re quickly given another peek at Solo: A Star Wars Story. This shouldn’t be too surprising, however, as the movie is due out in May, but it is, of course, still very exciting. This time, we get a look at a what looks to be a speeder.

The image, tweeted by director Ron Howard, was a New Year present released on January 1. It truly is a tease, as not much is revealed, but it’s got enough to get one excited. Take a look:

As said above, it looks like the driver’s seat of a speeder. What’s really got us excited is how retro it looks. The center of the steering wheel looks straight-up like an 8-track player. We also like the detail in the exposed wires on the center console. Nothing screams “Star Wars Scoundrel” more than a hunk of junk vehicle that’s got more “umf” than it seems.

Solo: A Star Wars Story also recently released its first promotional image last week. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. It also stars Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Emilia Clarke in supporting roles. It’s set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
