After many months of basically no information with regards to Electronic Art’s newest game using the ever-popular Star Wars IP, we know at least know when this is going to change. On April 13th, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be officially unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration even in Chicago.
StarWars.com announced the great news on their website, where we further learn that the game’s publisher EA and developer Respawn will be holding a special panel about Fallen Order. Despite having seen nothing about the game, we already knew when it is going to release, and it’s a lot closer than one might expect. This Fall, Star Wars fans will be able to get their hands on the final game!
The timing of the Star Wars Celebration and Fallen Order’s reveal event couldn’t have come at a better time. Respawn has been enjoying a long-deserved spot in the limelight with their seriously ingenious free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends. The studio’s experience in creating satisfying shooting mechanics quickly garnered the attention of battle royale gamers who traditionally had to do with janky titles.
In a special panel on Saturday, April 13, EA and Respawn will pull back the curtain on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, in which gamers will meet a Padawan who survived Order 66 and explore the galaxy in the time after the fall of the Jedi Order. The discussion will feature never-before-released details ahead of the game’s fall 2019 release.
So, the action aspect of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order seems to be in good hands but what’s at least as important ist that the game is going to be a single-player game. Something Star Wars games have been sorely lacking in recent memory. The developer pedigree and setting is enough to make Fallen Order one of the game to look out for later this year.
