EA has released the launch trailer for Respawn Entertainment’s upcoming action-adventure Star Wars game. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is launching November 15 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Electronic Arts didn’t really manage to set the gaming world on fire with their previous Star Wars games, starting with 2015’s Battlefront. They kinda did but not for the right reasons. What could have become a great return of Star Wars into the gaming scene is now mostly remembered for predatory loot boxes and microtransactions.
Just when Star Wars fans and gamers lost faith, they once again started to get excited with the announcement of a single-player Star Wars game in the works by esteemed developer Respawn Entertainment. Respawn has proven time and time again with Titanfall 2 and some of the best Call of Duty campaigns, that they are masters of gripping and bombastic single-player campaigns.
A galaxy-spanning adventure awaits in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new third-person action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment. This narratively driven, single-player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities and master the art of the iconic lightsaber – all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.
What we have seen so far from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order instills us with confidence that Respawn will continue that trend, and today’s new trailer is increasing that belief only more. It has all the hallmarks of an epic adventure befitting of Star Wars, with sky-high stakes, impactful action, and insane production values.
PC gamers will likely be even more excited after EA today announced that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available both on Origin and Steam at launch.
