Star Wars Pinball coming to Wii U eShop July 11

If you own a Wii U, you're undoubtedly waiting for big releases to come to the console — like Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros.. Until those release, though, the eShop is getting a nice little title to bolster the Wii U game library. Star Wars Pinball is coming to the Wii U eShop on July 11, so if you're a pinball or Star Wars fan, this should fill a bit of your Wii U gaming void.

Star Wars Pinball features three themed Star Wars tables — Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strike Back, Boba Fett and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. 

When starting out, you'll choose to support the Rebel Alliance or Galactic Empire. I usually side with Rebel scum. The community affects the fight in the Balance of the Force with high scores, and the main game user interface will change dynamically based on how the community supports each side. The game also features in-game challenges and score notifications, an XP progression system where players can move up the ranks based on Galactic Empire or Rebel Alliance support, Force Score and friends-based Team Score leaderboards, and a couple of multiplayer modes.

As for the Wii U GamePad, players can swap the display from the GamePad to the TV, and vice versa. Also, when the GamePad is used as the Secondary Display, it will show additional controls and game information including dot matrix, scores and challenge information.

Star Wars Pinball will hit the Wii U eShop on July 11 for $9.99.
