Star Wars: Squadrons gets in-depth gameplay video

Star Wars: Squadrons just got announced this week and today at EA Play, the team at Motive debuted a first real look at the space dogfighting game. We’ll let the trailer do most of the talking but we’ll give you some takeaways.

Star Wars: Squadrons looks to be a super well-made dogfighting game. It has all the glitz and glam of the Star Wars universe with detailed cockpits, cosmetics such as Ewok bobbleheads, and intense voice-overs to immerse you in the fight. You’ll also get to dig deep into multiple modes such as a campaign that spreads you across both the Rebel and Empire factions, 5v5 multiplayer modes, and more.

You can read the official description for the game below.

“Fight alongside your squadron to tip the scales in monumental fleet battles and compete in intense 5 vs. 5 dogfights. Get into the cockpit and triumph as a team by completing tactical objectives across known and never-before-seen battlefields, including the gas giant of Yavin Prime and the shattered moon of Galitan. Customize the loadouts of starfighters such as the X-wing and TIE fighter and divert power between their weapons, shields, and engines as you roar into the fray. Immerse yourself in strategic multiplayer space battles and a thrilling STAR WARS™ single-player story, seen from alternating perspectives between the New Republic and the Empire.”

Star Wars: Squadrons releases for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 2nd, 2020. The game will also feature VR support on PSVR and PC as well as cross-play.
