Star Wars: Squadrons gets new single-player gameplay trailer

On top of a new look at Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, we also got a new glimpse at Star Wars: Squadrons. The arcade-y space-fighting game releases this October and we now have a new look at the single-player mode of the game.

Players will take on exciting, explosive missions with Star Wars characters like Wedge Antilles at their side. You’ll also find yourself going up against these characters as this is a two-sided story, where you play as the Rebels and the Empire. This all takes place after the Empire’s defeat on Endor in Return of the Jedi, meaning this is their last stand. The New Republic aims to take back the galaxy as the Empire stands on their backfoot.

The new trailer showcases a mission where you have to extract a spy and escape the enemy. You can check out the trailer below. You even get a glimpse at some of the VR gameplay since you can play the entirety of Star Wars: Squadrons in VR if you choose.

Star Wars: Squadrons releases on October 2nd, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
