Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ behind-the-scenes video will give you chills

Just because Lucasfilm didn't release a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens yesterday, doesn't mean fans in attendance of yesterday's San Diego Comic-Con panel weren't treated to their own surprises.

In addition to seeing the main cast of the original Star Wars trilogy reunite on stage, which was pretty special in and of itself, Lucasfilm also gave us a new look at the highly anticipated film — from a behind-the-scenes perspective.

The nearly four-minute long trailer hammers home the point that director JJ Abrams and the rest at Lucasfilm have been trying to emphasize — "Real sets. Practical effects."

"You've been here, but you don't know this story. Nothing's changed really. I mean everything has changed, but nothing has changed. That's the way you want it to be really," Mark Hammel (aka Luke Skywalker) says.

The entire video, while giving us new, behind-the-scenes looks at the eagerly awaited film is all about showing us how, despite technology, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is keeping one foot in the pre-digital world — something that was lost in the prequel trilogy.

Check out yesterday's behind-the-scenes video of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, due out on December 18, 2015.
