Star Wars: The Force Awakens theatrical poster drops ahead of tomorrow’s trailer

New look at film and tickets on sale tomorrow

As expected, Disney has released the theatrical poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and there's definitely been an awakening in my pants from it.

The poster features a mix of characters both new and old, including Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, Han SOlo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and more. There's even a first look at what appears to be The First Order's powerful planet-destroying superweapon. Interestingly, Luke Skywalker is no where to be seen, so make of that what you will.

While the poster doesn't flat out spoil anything regarding the film, the position of the characters, specifically the juxtaposition of villain Kylo Ren and hero Rey suggest the two may have something more in common with each other than what we've been seen. Let's just say, there appears to be a bigger reason for why we don't know Rey's last name or why Kylo Ren isn't his real name.

While the release of the trailer is exciting, Disney has confirmed we'll be getting an "exclusive new look at the film" tomorrow night during ESPN's Monday Night Football. Additionally, tickets for the highly anticipated movie will also go on sale tomorrow for showings in theaters across the globe.
