Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Knights of the Fallen Empire gets new trailer

BioWare is continuing their push to make Star Wars: The Old Republic a more personal experience for its players with the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.  This morning at Electronic Arts’ Press Conference at Gamescom 2015, the developer unveiled a brief new trailer teasing new story details.

Knights of the Fallen Empire is the beginning of a brand new player driven narrative arc which will include the first nine chapters of what is being called “BioWare-style cinematic storytelling”.  Players will be faced with a plethora of choices and consequences that the developer is known for delivering that will ultimately determine the fate of both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic.

The player will be at the center of this conflict, taking the role of The Outlander, a veteran of the Great Galactic war between the Sith and the Republic, an angle that is a direct contrast to the MMO platform the game already stands on, so it's interesting to see how the online components will tie into the experience.

Knights of the Fallen Empire will drop on October 27 and will be free to The Old Republic subscribers.
