Starbreeze is hosting a free week of PAYDAY 2 on Steam

Ever dreamt of planning and executing the perfect heist while wearing intimidating clown masks? Well, PC players can do it for free for nine whole in PAYDAY 2 on Steam!

Overkill Software and mother company Starbreeze Studios decided to give PC players something fun to do over the upcoming days, completely free of charge! Similarly to how Fatshark deiced to launch a rather long free period of Vermintide last Tuesday, Overkill and Starbreeze have now made PAYDAY 2 free, and likewise to Vermintide, once those days are up the game will be removed from your library and you'll have to purchase. Seems like the Swedish developers are in a generous mood as of lately!

For those wondering what PAYDAY 2 is, then you can either read our review where we score it 7/10 or follow along for a really short recap. It's a co-op heisting game where players rob banks, jewelry stores, drugs, and do other similar less than legal activities while cops do their best to stop you, and these cops are no dumb donut munchers. While it can be played alone it is best enjoyed with friends since the AI companions never match up to a real human. Once in, the game pretty much explains itself.

The free period is already running and will end on October 28th. While it's free, simply go to the PAYDAY 2 Steam page, download, and enjoy.
