Blizzard has revealed the release date for StarCraft 2's upcoming expansion Legacy of the Void, along with the opening cinematic for the game during a livestream this past weekend. Of course, Blizzard's opening cinematic is phenomenal looking, these guys go above and beyond to make their trailers awesome.
Legacy of the Void is the conclusion to the StarCraft 2 storyline that will put you in the shoes of Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty protoss race, who is on a mission to retake his world (Aiur). During the mission to retake Aiur from the zerg Artanis comes across the ancient entity known as Amon, this being threatens to destroy the entire galaxy. Obviously, destroying the galaxy is bad so Amon needs to die.
This expansion will not simply expand upon previous gameplay mechanics, but will add some new features as well.
