Back in 1997, we were gifted with the live-action adaption of Robert A. Heinlein's 'Starship Troopers' and it looks like we are going to have to live through a reboot.
The film has held up relatively well over the years, but it appears as though Columbia Pictures couldn't let that film rest in its shallow grave. According to THR, Starship Troopers is getting a reboot and no one from the original will be involved.
Starship Troopers follows the story of a soldier named Johnnie Rico and his adventures in the Mobile Infantry while they fight against 'the Bugs.' Check out the original trailer below:
The folks behind the upcoming Baywatch movie, Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, are working up a script for the Starship Troopers reboot.
