Stasis devs share new trailer of Beautiful Desolation

Indie developer The Brotherhood has shared an awesome new trailer about their upcoming isometric adventure game Beautiful Desolation. The name couldn’t be apter since the game is sporting truly jaw-dropping visuals. Watch it here!

With 2015’s Stasis, The Brotherhood proved that they understand perfectly well how to craft engaging adventure games in the modern gaming era. The two-man studio consists of two brothers and quickly established itself as one of South Africa’s most promising game creators. While their breakout title Stasis focused on horror and mystery, the studio’s new game Beautiful Desolation features a much more welcoming setting. Well, compared to Stasis that is. Successfully kickstarted over three years ago, the game is will soon be launching.

Mark, a man out of time, searches for his lost brother Don, in a far-flung futuristic era ruled by highly advanced technologies which are both revered and reviled.
Your surroundings hold echoes of a desolate past, and glimpses of a dark future that has yet to be written by your actions. Be prepared to face many tough choices that will shape this land long after you complete your journey.
From thriving villages to crumbling cities, petrified forests and bone-dry ocean beds, this strange new world holds a multitude of terrains to uncover, beautifully rendered in 2D isometric art.

The game is set in the far future where the world has gone through massive destruction. But it still inhabits many a people with whom the player can interact while trying to solve the world’s mysteries. It’s not entirely peaceful, however, with strange monsters and hostile wastelanders who will end you in a heartbeat.

Just like Stasis though, Beautiful Desolation is once again played from an isometric viewpoint. But thanks to the more colorful aesthetics and outlandishly creative world design, exploring the Africa-themed game world should make for a great experience.

Beautiful Desolation is planned to come out sometime early this year for PC via Steam and GOG.
