State of Decay devs go exclusive with Microsoft

State of Decay developer Undead Labs has signed an exclusive deal with Microsoft Studios that will span multiple years and titles.

"We’ll be able to share details later this year, but as with State of Decay, we think it’s best if we just keep our heads down and build some prototypes before we talk too much," the Seattle-based studio wrote in a blog post today. "For now, suffice it to say there are big things going on with State of Decay."

The open-world stealth-zombie game is Undead Lab's first release. It's available on both Xbox 360 and PC, so the developer is already at home with Microsoft's platforms. Maybe we'll be seeing a leap to next-gen console Xbox One?

State of Decay surpassed 1 million downloads in October last year, shortly after it came to Steam Early Access. It officially released for PC one month later. It launched for Xbox 360 months prior, in June.
