Steam Holiday sale begins today

Valve's annual Steam Holiday Sale went live not too long ago, bringing discounts to more than 2,000 games on PC — with new deals arriving each day. As always, there will be Daily Deals that change ever 24 hours, Flash Sales (every 8 hours), and "Community Choice" voting.

Today's Daily Deals Include:

• BioShock Infinite
• Batman: Arkham origins
• Dishonored
• Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
• Space Hulk
• Dead Island
• The Stanley Parable
• Monaco
• Assetto Corsa

This year Valve is also introducing Snow Globe Trading Cards. After collecting all 10 special cards you can turn it in for the Snow Globe badge and an in-game item from a top Free to Play games. These items are both tradable and marketable. You'll also get a holiday emoticon and profile background. Crafting the foil Snow Globe badge will earn you 5 randomly chosen in-game items.

There are five ways to get Snow Globe cards:

• Craft a game badge
• Make a purchase (1 card for every $10 spent)
• Vote for the Community's Choice Flash sale (1 card for every 3rd time you vote)
• Trade for them
• Buy them from the Community Market
