Steam Holiday Sale Soldiers On, Dead Space Series 75% Off

The Steam Holiday sale has resulted in some rather great bargains, and the GameZone staff have been taking advantage of many of them (gotta spend that holiday cash somehow). Todays offerings are definitely respectable, with a lot of big name series getting the benefit of some massive price cuts.

For those into the indie scene, SPAZ (Space Pirates and Zombies), Revenge of the Titans and Machinarium are all just $2.49 today (75% off), while wildly addictive tower defense RPG Dungeon Defenders gets a similar 75% cut, putting it at $3.74. Meanwhile, the Serious Sam series is seeing a variety of price cuts, with the recently-released Serious Sam: BFE at just $19.99 (50% off), with the first two Serious Sam HD titles available for just $2.99 (90% off!).

For those looking for something a bit more sexy than Sam, every entry in Square-Enix's reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise can be found for 75% off today, and the entire Assassin's Creed catalog has been discounted as well, with the first two games just $4.99 apiece (though we recomend skipping the original game, it's a snore-fest).

But hands down, today's best deal is on the Dead Space series, with both games discounted to just $4.99 (75% off). The first survival-horror franchise to truly rival Resident Evil, the Dead Space games are simply a xenomorph-blasting good time, and are more than worthy of your spare Lincoln paper.

Those are our picks for today! And don't forget to complete some holiday challenges and maybe get yourself a free game!
