Electronic Arts is swiftly continuing to bring all their existing game library on Steam. Today, all Battlefield games, both Star Wars Battlefront titles and every Mass Effect game have launched on PC’s most popular gaming client. As with the previous first wave of EA games, every title is currently heavily discounted at 50% or more!

Great news for users who like to own and play their games in one place. But unlike the past, before EA decided to ditch Steam in favor of releasing their PC games exclusively on their own Origin launcher, playing these games still requires the Origin launcher. It’s similar to how Ubisoft handled their Steam releases in terms of requiring Uplay and Rockstar Games with the Rockstar Games Launcher/Rockstar Social Club.
Just last week we were greeted with Electronic Arts bringing the first dozen Origin-only games to Steam. Today is decidedly focusing on the publisher’s action-oriented franchises. But there are still many games left to arrive on steamy shores. Namely, Respawn’s excellent Titanfall 2 and the insanely popular life-sim Sims. Then there are the odd classics, like Mercenaries 2 or Saboteur. Industry insider Jeff Grubb today already stated that Titanfall 2 and Sims 4 are inbound next week.
Titanfall and The Sims 4 should come next week.

All this effort is going to culminate in EA’s gaming subscription EA Access becoming available through Steam in the near future. We’re expecting Ubisoft and Microsoft to follow suit in the not-so-far future.
