SteelSeries Rival: Dota 2 Edition Gaming Mouse announced

Earlier today, SteelSeries — maker of some great PC gaming peripherals — announced the SteelSeries Rival: Dota 2 Edition Gaming Mouse. This is just in time for The International 4 Dota 2 Championship in Seattle, Washington this weekend, where attendees will be among the first to have access to the SteelSeries Rival: Dota 2 Edition Gaming Mouse.

The Dota 2 Edition is based on the award-winning Rival Optical Mouse. With the Dota 2 Edition, you'll get a stone-gray body and side buttons, blood-red rubber grips, as well as the Dota 2 symbol on the mouse. Dota 2 is also etched into the mouse. Players can customize the mouse using Dota 2-themed illumination modes that shift according to player preference. Gamers can tune their CPI, polling rate, mouse acceleration and mods using the SteelSeries Engine 3.

SteelSeries CTO Tino Soelberg commented, "We believe that Dota players deserve the best, so we set out to give fans a mouse with a design they would love without sacrificing the functionality they require. We extensively tested our Dota 2 Edition of the Rival Optical Mouse with professional players from Natus Vincere, Invictus Gaming and Fnatic which has resulted in one of the most powerful mice we've ever built — and to make it even more special for the Dota 2 community, we've added a unique in-game item."

That exclusive in-game item is Hell's Glare for Doom. This Radiance-inspired sword was once a divine weapon, but is now corrupted by the devouring darkness of its new master. It is only available with the purchase of the SteelSeries Rival: Dota 2 Edition Gaming Mouse.

If you want to get your hands on one of these, you'll be able to pre-order it after the conclusion of The International 4 Dota 2 Tournament. It will retail for $69.99.
