Ever feel like partaking in freeride snowboarding or skiing competitions, but never done due to lack of skills or fear of death? Now you can! Steep is hosting an online freeride tournament with some sweet prices.
To liven up Ubisoft's open world alpine sports game "Steep" they decided to host an online freeride competition that, unlike many similar initiatives, will be open for everyone to enter, regardless of skills and what platform they play on, everyone is welcome to try out.
The tournament starts with a qualifier period where players have to actually qualify for the tournament. After that, there is the tournament itself where players get to compete against each other to get a spot in the final. The final will see the best 32 players from each platform duke it out the become one of the top three players in the world. Players who reach the tournament and final phases has a chance of winning some exclusive prices while spot one through three on each platform will get some special goodies.

First place: Unique item. 20.000 in-game cash.
Watch the video above and hear all of this from real life 2016 Freeride World Tour Champion, Sammy Luebke, he actually even manages to sound excited about this, which isn't guaranteed when hiring sports professionals to do promotional videos. *Cough* Tony Hawk Shred ads *cough*.
