Steep will be free to play and on sale this weekend

Steep was Ubisoft's surprise game announcement of E3 2016 and represented something of a departure from the norm for Ubisoft. It came out right at the end of 2016's release calendar, once most of the year's releases were over and done with little fanfare. Ubisoft is trying to help boost the Steep brand and will do so by offering up a free weekend that will start this week on March 10th and will run through March 12th.

The free weekend will run on all three platforms, PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via Uplay) and the game will be discounted at 40% off through March 13th (14th for PC players). You can also preload the game right now on Uplay if you're on PC.

You'll be able to start playing at 10 AM PST this Friday, March 10th and go until Sunday, March 12th at 1 PM PST if you're playing on PC or Xbox One. PS4 players will get a little added time as the free weekend extends over into Monday until 10 AM PST on March 13th.

Steep recently released its first major update, Alaska, which you will be able to try out, as the free weekend gives you unlimited access to everything the game has to offer.

I'll play anything at least once. But RPG's, Co-Op/Competitive Multiplayer, Action Adventure games, and Sports Franchise Modes keep me coming back. Follow me on Twitter @TheDanWhoWrites
