Looking to fire up that ol' PSP again? Perhaps you're looking for some handheld tactical RPG action. If that's the case, you'll be happy to know that Atlus is launching Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time on Sony's pre-Vita handheld next week.
The fourth entry in the Growlanser series features classic strategic RPG gameplay and a lengthy campaign, and after being relegated to Japan for such a long time, fans of the series are sure to be stoked that it's finally arriving on our side of the planet. It was about time, wasn't it?
Oh, and before you start questioning why the game is coming to PSP, well, it's because it takes time to localize games. It also takes time to port them over to an advanced handheld. Put those two together, and if you really wanted Wayfarer of Time on the Vita then you'd probably have to wait, like, 63 years. No joke.
Don't worry, though, because Atlus has stated that it hopes to make the game compatible with Sony's current handheld as soon as possible. And if you desperately need some PSP action on your Vita, you can check out Gungir, which is now compatible on both platforms. Watch out for Wayfarer of Time next week on July 31 at retailers and through the PlayStation Network.
