Though received as a mechanical starlet, Street Fighter 5 has been criticized for both its minimal single-player content and its unstable multiplayer. In a recent update, Capcom addressed the latter with some much-needed server improvements.
“Matchmaking for Ranked and Casual is stable and is working as intended for most users,” Capcom said in a blog post. “Some additional tweaks were made to the servers overnight, so players should actually be getting matches at a much faster rate now as well.”
These changes are currently being rolled out, so some regions may not see noticeable improvements for a few days. Capcom advises any players who continue to experience issues to make their problem, location and platform known on Twitter @SFVServer.
Matchmaking wasn’t the only element to receive a new coat of polish. SF5’s Fighter ID search has been improved as well, and will now correctly show newly created IDs. Battle Lounge mode has also received its fair share of nondescript but undoubtedly necessary fixes.
