In February, Capcom officially released a statement on the state of Street Fighter V and the issue that had been plaguing its community: rage quitters. At the time, if a player quit an online match of Street Fighter 5 out of fear of losing their win streak, there were no repercussions. The player that stood to win the match lost their win streak instead.
This issue has been ongoing since Street Fighter V released two months ago. Capcom said that they were "aware of the problem" and were "working on a permanent solution." The worst offenders would be hit with a "severe" punishment.
No date for when the fix will release has been revealed, but Capcom has finally narrowed the window of release down to sometime this month.
