Street Fighter 5 release date announced

Dhalsim is back!

Yesterday, data mining revealed that Street Fighter V would be featuring a number of fighters that had yet to be revealed, one of which has been confirmed by Capcom during Sony's Paris Games Week event. Along with the confirmation of a character, Capcom used their time on stage to reveal the release date for Street Fighter V.

Confirming rumors, Dhalsim has been revealed for Street Fighter V – making 15 of the 16 fighters known to the public. The next major event that Capcom attends will reveal the 16th and final character. After Street Fighter 5 makes it release. Also confirmed today, six additional characters will be made available (over the year) for the in-game currency, Fight Money.

According to data mining, playable character files for Guile, Sim, Ibuki, Urien, Balrog, and Juri were hidden in the beta – which means that we could very-well be seeing these characters as DLC characters.  While those fighters have yet to be confirmed, Capcom gave us a hint at what fighters were coming through their silhouettes.
