Street Fighter EX developer will be revealing a new game at EVO 2017

Evo 2017 is just two weeks away, and it sounds like Fighting game fans may have something new to look forward to. The fighting game tournament's organizer, Joey Cuellar announced over Twitter that Street Fighter EX developer, Arika will be revealing a new game that will be playable at the show, which we can only presume, will be a fighting game.

Here's the tweet:

Arika was originally known for the Street Fighter EX series, which launched in 1996 and continued through 2000. Afterward, the studio took a different route and began developing various types of games including the Nintendo Wii's Endless Ocean series.

However, on April Fool's Day, Arika released a trailer for a Fighting Game featuring characters from Street Fighter EX. Here's the trailer:

There's no indication as to whether this is the game they will be showing off, but wouldn't it be cool to get a Street Fighter EX Remake?

EVO 2017 is going down from July 14th through July 16th.
