Street Fighter V is officially bringing Ed to the roster

Street Fighter V hasn't quite landed the kind of punch that people were expecting since it released last year, but between various updates and character releases, Capcom has attempted to keep fans in the fold. One of their main ways of doing so has been to release new characters via a Season Character Pass. Season 2 began back in December with Akuma, but earlier today, Capcom revealed Ed to be the third character of the Season.

Here's his reveal trailer.

Here is Ed's official description courtesy of Capcom:

At a young age, Ed was kidnapped and experimented on by S.I.N., a division of Shadaloo, in order to become a replacement body for M. Bison. Many of you might remember a young Ed appearing in Rose’s Street Fighter IV story and Balrog’s story in Super Street Fighter IV. Due to the experiments, Ed’s body ages faster than normal humans until they are old enough to be suited for battle. Since Balrog raised Ed, his fighting is centered on boxing but since he carries M. Bison’s genes, his fighting style is enhanced by Psycho Power.

If you are a part of the Capcom Fighters Network Beta, you will be able to get your hands on Ed as well as all previously released characters. The next beta play session runs from May 11th to May 14th on both PC and PS4 and features crossplay between the two platforms.
