Street Fighter X Tekken smashes onto Vita this October

The Capcom-Namco crossover Street Fighter X Tekken hits the PlayStation Vita this fall.

Developer Capcom has named a release date for the portable version. It will arrive on October 23. Those who purchase the game for Vita will receive download codes for 12 free characters in the PS3 counterpart plus alternate costumes for the 38 others.

The game's multiplayer on Vita supports 3G or Wi-Fi and is compatible with cross-play.

Street Fighter X Tekken landed on consoles on March 6. Capcom will announce new modes, content, and features leading up to the Vita version's release.

Meanwhile, Namco Bandai is still working on the 2D Tekken X Street Fighter game, planned for current-gen systems.
