Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition Announced at Comic-Con

Comic-Con is just full of huge announcements. Street Fighter X Tekken just got a whole lot of internet love, but that’s not the only Street Fighter game making an appearance at the show. Capcom today announced Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition.

During a Panel titled ‘Street Fighter IV and Beyond,’ Yoshinori Ono, the producer of many of the games in the SF series as well as SFXT, offered a short glimpse (short as in a logo) of the Street Fighter III update and said that the game’s development had just begun. Though an SFIII update is a welcome addition to the series, he added that, “it won’t be out in the immediate future.”

Still, that’s enough to get Street Fighter fans excited for what’s to come.
