Styx: Shards of Darkness announced for PS4 and Xbox One

Focus Home Interactive has revealed a sequel to their title Styx: Master of Shadows with a brand new title to release next year — Styx: Shards of Darkness.

Due out in 2016 for both Xbox One and PS4 and will feature a bigger budget, bigger ideas, and a new engine: Unreal 4. Shards of Darkness has been in development for six months now according to Focus Home Interactive and will include brand new enemies, environments and abilities such as zip lining and grapple hooks.

The premise for this version sees an extraordinary matter has forced Styx out of hiding to infiltrate Körangar, the city of the Dark Elves. Supposedly impregnable, a diplomatic summit offers Styx a chance at slipping in unnoticed, as he learns that the event is nothing but a mere façade. Moreover, the Elves have joined forces with the Dwarves, and the only thing both races have in common is a mutual hatred of the Goblins.

There is no release date yet for Styx: Shards of Darkness but it is currently due for release in 2016 on both PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC
