Deadpool might have started a trend for film's aiming to be rated-R, but Suicide Squad will not be one of them. In fact, Warner Bros. has maintained that they were aiming for a PG-13 rating since the film first began its production.
It appears as though Warner Bros. got exactly what they wanted, Box Office Mojo (via GamesRadar) is reporting that that the MPAA has classified the film as PG-13 for "sequences of violence and action throughout, disturbing behavior, suggestive content and language."
There's a chance that the studio might pull a Batman v. Superman and release an R-rated Blu-Ray version of the film. The movie did get a number of reshoots, which means there will be plenty of unused footage so… there really is a chance.
