In early 2015, we heard that Harrison Ford would be returning to the Blade Runner universe and reprising his role as Rick Deckard. Shortly after that reveal, Ryan Gosling was confirmed to be starring alongside Ford in Blad Runner 2.
While the details around the film have been ramping up hype ahead of the alleged October 6th, 2017 release date, a new cast member has reportedly joined in on the film. According to Variety, Jared Leto has joined the cast for Blade Runner 2.
Leto has been in the limelight quite a bit recently, thanks to his role in Suicide Squad. Leto has gone on record saying that he felt swindled into doing Suicide Squad, the pitch he was given for the film was apparently quite different than the end result. No details on Leto's role in Blade Runner 2 have been revealed, but hopefully it will live up to his expectations.
Alcon Entertainment owns the Blade Runner franchise and is producing the sequel.
