Suicide Squad takes home Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling

One of the most critically panned superhero films of all time won an Oscar last night. How's that possible? Well, Suicide Squad was nominated for an Academy Award that that was pretty attainable despite the overwhelming negativity surrounding it. The movie was nominated for Best Makeup and Hairstyling alongside Star Trek Beyond and A Man Called Ove. The movie features a number of actors who transform themselves into colorful, iconic comic-book characters such as Harley Quinn and The Joker via makeup.

This win makes it the fourth DC movie to ever win an Oscar (the other three being the original Superman, Tim Burton's Batman, and The Dark Knight). You can view the speech from the makeup and hair crew below.
