Last week, Insomniac Games revealed "The Mystery of Mooil Rig," the first of two campaign-related add-ons for Sunset Overdrive. As detailed, the upcoming DLC introduces a new "floating playground" filled with more missions, quests, challenges, and abilities. Of course, this is Sunset Overdrive we're talking about, so you know it adds fresh weapons of well — some of which were revealed and detailed in this week's Sunset TV episode.
Rivet Blaster: An AoE weapon that when fired at an enemy will stun them and do damage. If fired at the ground, the shots will chain together to form an electric trip wire that will stun all enemies that touch it.
Feel the Burn: Great for close-range combat, this weapon spews fire at your foes and deals damage over time to enemies caught on fire.
"Our aim with both of these weapons was to bring players a new way to play while making them fit into the oil rig theme we're going for," explained Brandon Winfrey.
The Mystery of Mooil Rig will be available December 23 as part of the Sunset Overdrive Season Pass. Alternatively, you can purchase it separately for $9.99 if you don't want to commit fully to all of Sunset Overdrive's future content.
