In this week's Sunset TV episode, Insomniac Games community manager Brandon Winfrey has previewed one of the weapons coming soon to Sunset Overdrive as DLC.
The Shield Buddy, which is included in the game's Weapon Pack (part of the Season Pass), can be charged up and released to deploy a set of bombs and provide you with a shield that protects you and any allies inside from all incoming fire. You'll also still be able to shoot outside of the bubble.
Sadly, that was the only weapon previewed today, but I'm assuming we'll find out more soon. The Weapon Pack is just one of the planned downloadable content drops for Sunset Overdrive. The two remaining add-ons will bring "new locations to explore, stories to experience, and bosses to battle," along with weapons, Amps, a new Trap, new character outfits, and new challenges and Chaos Squad objectives.
Sunset Overdrive's DLC can be purchased individually upon release, or you can opt for the $19.99 Season Pass.
