Super Crate Box dev releases free game Techno King

Techno King is all about destroying Earth before your enemies can.

Vlambeer, the makers of Super Crate Box, have released the free arena shooter for PC and Mac on their website. It's a clever twist for people who love the Earth Defense Force series.

"If you destroy everything, they can't destroy it," developer Rami Ismail told IndieGames.

Like in EDF, you're meant to protect Earth (here, Neo Tokyo) but ultimately end up causing its destruction. But as you progress, the game gets harder.

"The more you're winning, the less cover you have," he said.

Techno King uses WASD and mouse controls to avoid hits and shoot enemy mechs.
