Super Hexagon Android done but experiencing lag issues on Nexus 7

Indie developer Terry Cavanagh took to the Distractionware blog to address a situation regarding the Android version of Super Hexagon. It turns out there's both good news and bad news, a combination that, unlike cake and ice cream, tends to leave a foul taste in one's mouth.

It looks like Super Hexagon for Android is pretty much done. According to Cavangh, the game is "basically done" and has been on the receiving end of some testing over the past several weeks.

Of course, that testing has shown that Super Hexagon is experiencing input lag problems on the Nexus 7. The bad thing here is that the game requires fast movement and reflexes, so when it takes a while to register touchscreen commands, well, things don't exactly go as smoothly as they should. The result is a Super Hexagon that's not all that playable, especially in later levels.

Cavangh explained that he still hopes to release the game for Android, but only for devices that can support it. That would mean that Nexus 7 users may not get the chance to play the game on that platform as it's been impossible for Cavanagh to pinpoint the issue. Well, that's kind of a bummer.
