Super Hexagon, a minimalist action game from the creator of VVVVVV, has surpassed expectations on iPhone and iPad.
According to developer Terry Cavanagh, the game sold "about 10,000 copies in three days and has been in the top 25 on the iPhone charts."
Cavanagh revealed the news during an "Ask Me Anything" thread on Reddit. He also said that he hopes to port the game to Android, Mac, PC, and possibly even the Blackberry Playbook.
However, following the discussion, Cavanagh tweeted, "I probably shouldn't have teased at a Blackberry Playbook version of Super Hexagon. That's a bit of a long shot, honestly."
The gamemaker also said he has been experimenting with board games and has made two, "but neither are very good yet."
Cavanagh said that his other game, Nexus City, has been on hold for a year, but now that Super Hexagon is out, he can return to it.
"Jonas and I are working on a sort of spin off story in the Nexus City universe at the moment," he said.
