Super Mario 3D World, Wind Waker HD, and other Wii U games dated for release

Coinciding with today's announcement of a Wii U price cut, Nintendo has announced some release dates for the system's fall lineup. The lineup of games doesn't include third-party titles headed to the Wii U, but below is a nice look at what fans can expect in terms of first-party games. As revealed today, the following Wii U games are coming to the Wii U in North America before the end of 2013:

  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD – September 20 (Digital)
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD – October 4 (Physical)
  • Wii Party U – October 25 (with Wii Remote Plus for $49.99)
  • Super Mario 3D World – November 22 ($59.99)
  • Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze – December 6 ($49.99)
  • Wii Fit U – Holiday 2013
  • Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games – Holiday 2013

Nintendo also unveiled today the brand new 2DS handheld system, while also announcing the release dates for a number of upcoming 3DS games due out this fall.
