Super Mario Maker to come with 100 levels out of the box

Nintendo keeps adding to the Mario celebration

Super Mario Maker made its debut at E3 2014 as a bare bones Mario editor with a few quirks, but it didn't look like anything to write home about at first glance. Since then, the game has turned into a huge project with more options than anyone ever expected.. Not only would there be several move sets, but entirely new creations and combos would be at the disposal of would be level designers. This was of course on full display at the Nintendo World Championships Finals.

Yet one criticism still remained. Many people didn't want to pay $60 for a level editor and play stages designed by novices. Good level design is a serious endeavor. Not everyone wants to make or is capable of making quality stages, and nobody wants to waste their time with bad levels. Well the professionals at Nintendo have packed 100 stages onto the disk, meaning you can have a full Mario experience without having to be online.

That means players can play the prepackaged levels, design their own, or browse the online community for creative takes on the Mario formula. It looks like Nintendo may have all their bases covered on this one.
