Super Mario Run Rewards and Missions for My Nintendo Announced

After GameZone's Tom Caswell had hands-on experience with Super Mario Run, the rest of us anxiously awaited the release of the game for iOS and Android. While we were waiting, Nintendo released the My Nintendo rewards for the game on their website.

Minor spoilers: Toad is an unlockable and free reward.

By free of course, we mean free in the sense of in-game currency earned through playing the game. All the unlockable rewards listed are attainable through playing the game. Super Mario Run is a game that requires a purchase in order to play, so micro-transactions are expected to be minimal.

Other rewards listed include:

  • 1000 – 60 platinum points
  • 2000 – 100 platinum points
  • 3000 – 140 platinum points
  • 5 Toad Rally tickets – 150 platinum points
  • 10 Toad Rally tickets – 250 platinum points

But how are these platinum points collected? Through missions! Doing missions allows players to collect platinum points and choose what they spend them on.

Missions listed include:

  • Play Toad Rally (daily): 10 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Win 3 times in Toad Rally (weekly 12 AM Monday to 11:59 PM on Sunday): 50 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Link Super Mario Run to your Nintendo Account: 100 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Add your first friend: 100 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Add 5 friends: 100 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Add 10 friends: 100 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Clear World 1: 50 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Clear World 2: 50 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Clear World 3: 50 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Clear World 4: 50 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Clear World 5: 50 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points
  • Clear World 6: 50 Super Mario Run / Platinum Points

Super Mario Run is projected to gross over $70 million within a month, which translates to an enjoyable game for most. We also learned about some of the unlockable characters, modes, and more.
