Super Meat Boy World, the online world of SMB that stores leaderboards and user infomation, was taken down by hackers today after being shrugged off by developers via Twitter.
The hacker in question is supposedly a member of the Anonymous hacking group. After he warned them of a flaw in Super Meat Boy World's security, the hacker was shrugged off and then proceeded into the system and began changing the servers, which obviously affected user information and the leaderboards along with a number of other things.
According to New Game Network, the problem was first seen by Steam users. The game is still playable, and the security problem seems to be fixed, but players are still stating they are having problems earning achievements.
