Super Smash Bros. for Wii U finally gets a release date

And it's a week ahead of Black Friday

With the release of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS last week, it's about time Nintendo finally unveiled the release date for the Wii U version. Fans will be able to experience the new Super Smash in HD on November 21st, a week before Black Friday.

Amiibos are also making a debut on the same date, and will retail for $12.99 each. The first wave of Amiibos will include twelve characters, which will be Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby and Marth. Amiibos can be used for Smash on the Wii U, as well as other upcoming titles like Yoshi's Woolly World and Mario Party 10, as well as Mario Kart 8.

For Smash purists who still prefer the GameCube's control method, a special $99 bundle will be available the same day as well, which will come with the game, the controller and an adapter. However, the controller is also available as a separate purchase for $29.99.
