Super Smash Bros. gets Skull Kid Assist Trophy

Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask will be an Assist Trophy in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS.

"Pic of the day. Here's a new Assist Trophy–the Skull Kid! I repeat, it's an Assist Trophy, not a new fighter," game creator Masahiro Sakurai said, while posting a pic.

For those unfamiliar, an Assist Trophy is an item that when picked up can summon a random character to aid the player who used the item in battle. Aside from the aid, Assist Trophies are a ncie way for players to experience characters who couldn't make the cut as playable fighters.
