Super Stardust Ultra will be hitting up your PlayStation 4 next week and it's coming fully loaded with new planets, game modes, and streaming — not to mention full 3D support at 60 frames per second.
The fourth game in the twin-stick shooter series will have five newly designed planets and nine different single-player modes, some of them brand new.
One of the newest game modes is Blockade. In Blockade players will have to avoid an endless trail of deadly mines that are dropped out of your Star fighter (similar to the game Snake), but the mines can be used to destroy meteors and space debris that would otherwise destroy your ship.
Blockade. As if blasting through hazardous meteor storms or fighting off enemy spacecraft wasn’t difficult enough, you now have to avoid an endless trail of deadly mines that are continually dropped from the back of your Star fighter. The twist however is that everything else on the planet is also destroyed if it makes contact with the mines, so they can be used to your advantage and timing your bombs or boost is critical to staying alive.
Super Stardust Ultra will feature an Interactive Streaming mode where spectators can vote on whether to send you more enemies or a care package.
Single-player isn't the only name of the game, the game will supports up to four plays in local co-op.
Super Stardust Ultra will be available for download February 10th for $12.99 (PS Plus members get it at 20% off for one week).
