Super X Studios Makes the Cut Again

Super X Studios Makes the Cut
Again: Wild Earth in the 2003 Indie Games Festival

SAN JOSE, CA – 12/11/2002 — Super X
Studios has picked up the honors again. Their upcoming title, Wild Earth, has
been selected from 73 entrants as one of only 10 finalists in the 2003
Independent Games Festival, to be held in San Jose, CA, from March 6-8.

This marks the second time the
studio has made the finals: their breakthrough title Far Gate (originally The
Rift) won the Audience Award by popular vote in the 2000 Independent Games
Festival. It was subsequently published in 13 countries.

Wild Earth, which will be officially
announced next month, is a departure from the sci-fi reputation of the studio.
Wild Earth is set deep in Africa on the plains of the Serengeti, where the
player takes the role of a photo-journalist on assignment for a fictional news
magazine by the same name. Amazingly lifelike animation and immersive
environments will make it a winner for all ages.

"2003 is going to be a major turning
point for us," according to James Thrush, owner of Super X Studios. "With Wild
Earth in the IGF and 3 titles scheduled for release next year, you can expect to
hear a lot about Super X Studios in 2003."

Super X Studios (
www.superxstudios.com ) was founded
in 1996 and develops cutting-edge 3D games and applications. Their past projects
include Far Gate, nvChess, and Desktop Dreamscapes.
