Superbrothers, Jim Guthrie collaborating on levels for Sound Shapes

Sound Shapes, the upcoming music-driven platformer from developer Queasy Games, is looking more impressive every time some news surfaces. Now it looks like there's yet another awesome reason for gamers who have been looking forward to the game to get stoked about it.

Superbrothers and Jim Guthrie, who previously worked on Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP together, will be collaborating once again, this time on Queasy's upcoming PlayStation Vita title. "It is with immense pleasure that we are announcing our involvement with a video game project known as Sound Shapes," said Superbrothers' Craig Adams. "We are extra excited to be contributing alongside sworcery maestro Jim Guthrie."

According to the dev, the team will be working on a series of levels known as Corporeal. Judging from the screens on the PlayStation Blog, the stages appear to have a corporate vibe to them, with computers and office spaces seen throughout. "After some initial discussion with Queasy, we chose to explore some of the concepts in prior Superbrothers films including Children of the Clone and Dot Matrix Revolution, so our levels are populated by computers, mainframes, office workers and water coolers," continued Adams.

Sound Shapes definitely looks like a Vita game to watch out for, and with this new collaboration between Superbrothers and Jim Guthrie, we can now look forward to some more potentially awesome stages and music. The game will be showcased at the PlayStation booth at E3 in a few weeks, so expect some more details then.
